19th century culture was defined by novel. 20th century culture by cinema. The Culture of the 21st century will be defined by the interface. (Aaron Koblin, Feb. 2011)

ARTECH2017 – Interfaces of Tomorrow” is the Eighth International Conference on Digital Arts, organized this year by the University of Saint Joseph, Macau, China. The purpose of the conference is to promote interest in current digital culture and its intersection with art and technology as an important field of research, but also as a common space for discussion and exchange of new experiences.

Since the beginning of its operations the ARTECH Initiative has hosted hundreds of digital art installations ranging from pure infotainment applications to more formal works of art exploring different interactive and media technologies: computer vision, virtual and augmented reality, digital sound and music, among others. These facilities have been presented at various art fairs and conferences, as well as in applied art seminars, over the last 10 years.
